What This Site Actually Is
CalculatorNC.com is a free collection of handy-dandy calculators built for North Carolina folks (and anybody else who stumbles in). Property tax estimates, mortgage numbers, sales tax, tips, unit conversions, you name it.
Here’s the big one: Every number we spit out is an estimate. A ballpark. A back-of-the-napkin figure. We ain’t your CPA, your real estate attorney, your lender, or your tax assessor down at the county office. For any decision that actually matters—buyin’ a house in Cary, filin’ taxes in Buncombe, closin’ a deal in Wilmington—go see a real professional.
We give you the math. You bring the judgment.
Usin’ the Site (The Do’s and Don’ts)
You’re welcome to:
- Use our calculators as much as you please, free of charge
- Share links to our pages with friends, family, your book club in Greensboro
- Bookmark us and come back every time you need a quick number
Please don’t:
- Scrape, copy, or republish our content as your own
- Try to break, hack, or gum up the works
- Use the site to mislead folks or pass off our estimates as official government figures
Basically: use it like a decent person would. We figure that covers most situations.
Who Owns What
The design, text, code, calculators, and that little logo we’re proud of? That’s ours. Protected under copyright and intellectual property law. You’re free to use the tools, but don’t go claimin’ you built ’em.
Any third-party trademarks or names mentioned belong to their respective owners. We don’t claim nothin’ that ain’t ours.
The Honest Disclaimer
Let’s be crystal clear, like a mountain stream up in Boone:

- Tax rates, rules, and regulations change. Counties update. States tweak. We do our best to keep up, but we can’t promise every figure is current to the minute.

Limitation of Liability

We Can Pull the Porch Swing In
We reserve the right to modify, pause, or shut down any part of this site at any time, no notice required. We also reserve the right to update these Terms. When we do, we’ll change the date up top. Continued use after changes means you’re still on board.
If for some reason you’re banned from the site (we truly hope it never comes to that), that ban stands.
